As planned, Kak Lin, Ja-cha-cha and me went to UKM Bangi for lunch before meeting with my research collaborator and master student. We met up with Dr. Ain-ain at her office and headed to the Danau Golf Club for lunch. It's been a long time since our last visit to this place. I'd even done the food review for the restaurant.
However, things had changed. The restaurant don't serve western anymore (chef dah lari) and the asian food they offered were all very disapointing. These were what we'd ordered: Ja-cha-cha's nasi goreng. Kak Lin's kueh tiau goreng, Dr. Ain's and mine GuongFu style kueh tiau.
They were all sucks. The fried rice was tasteless and too hot, the kueh tiau goreng was very plain, and the guongfu style kueh tiau was.. erm.... YUCKS! The gravy was tasteless, and look like erm... HINGUS!
A thumb down for the lunch. I can't finish up my lunch.
Not only that the food were lousy, the service was slow. A thin and tasteless apple juice costed RM6. This lunch was disappointing. So guys, and gurls, BAN this place.
I had my discussion at MBT after that. I was hungry (the ladies too) after the discussion. So off we went to Puri Pujangga, a restaurant within the UKM Bangi campus, for high tea @ RM8.50 per person.
Thought not the best high tea, but the food were definitely satisfying. Ada siapa-siapa tau tak kuih yang tengah-tengah tu apa? Dibuat daripada tepung dan kelapa parut. I'd never seen nor tasted them before.
Again, it's time for me to hit the gym after that. Aiyoo... sudah montel.
