Sarawak Laksa

Since many of our friends wanted to pay us a CNY visit yesterday, we decided to cook some home-made Sarawak Laksa for the guests. And that's the only dish in the menu for them, beside fruits and some desserts.. hehehehehe...

Cooking Sarawak Laksa is as easy as A, B, C. First and foremost, buy yourself a pack or two of Sarawak Laksa paste (available in Sarawak only, so far). Just add water and boil for 30 minutes before strain off the solids. To enhance the taste of the gravy, put in chunks of chicken meat and some prawns and remove them when they're cooked.


The chicken meat are supposed to be shredded. But I ran out of time, so I cut them into thin slices. Ok gak.

Then, add some coconut milk and salt, and a bit of sugar to enrich the 'creaminess'. Other accessories are shredded fried eggs, bean sprouts, green onions and of course, lime.



Add in some sambal udang or sambal belacan, if you like to. And the final result..... Yummy Sarawak Laksa.

[pinky] Bukan dalam botol, dalam paket. Label dia: bawang, cili, bijian dan rempah ratus. Nah, ambik, buat ler sendiri paste tu. kih kih kih kih.

Bila pinky balik nanti kita masak ler ye.

[budlee] Yes, bagi Josh lah. Sebab kita tak tau ingredient dia. Lagipun kedai2 yg juat laksa sarawak kat Sarawak pun pakai paste tu. senang masak.

mmm....pernah makan sekali dulu masa geng tempat kerja buat makan-makan..itupun dpt yg last-last jer..kalo udang mcm yg josh buat tu jgn harap nak dapat..kuah je yg byk..:)) tapi sedap...rasa mmg jauh beza dari penang mari punya..
