There was this Sunday evening when some of my friends came over to my place for BBQ. Well, it was last Sunday. It's a simple get-together with some friends and a special guest from Cambridge University. It starts at 6pm. Being an inexperience 'fire starter', it took me a while to get the charcoal ignited. Ain-ain my ex-colleague helped up. She and her children were the first to arrive as they're staying just a few blocks away.
Datin brought along her two sons and her younger sister. Abang John (chewahh) our research partner from Cambridge was excited to meet us, his old friends.
Amik gambar olok-olok. Yang bakar sorang dua je, tapi bila amik gambar semua nak masuk pura-pura tengah BBQ.
Anak siapa nih?? from left to right: Bajat (Datin's eldest son), Nasuha and Hakim (Ain-ain's daughter and son)
To entertain the children (or rather to keep the children busy so that they don't disturb us, hehehe), my wife gave them a lantern each. By the way, the mooncake festival is just around the corner.
And who said adult don't play lantern?? This is a solid proof. A 48 years old, and a 37 years old playing happily. hehe...
We were happy to have Abang John with us. Gathering like this allows us to catch up on each other and to exchange ideas in our scientific research.
Ni dia makanan kita yang simple dan tak seberapa.
The guests left at 12pm, and we hit our bed 40 minutes later. Happy.
