My workload for this semester:
Contact Hours: 22 hours (yes, shockingly) per week involving 200 students.
Masters supervision: 1 student
Final year research: 9 students (another 12 will be expected, totaling to 21)
Scientific Research: 1 grant
Conservation Program: 65 students.
Management: Tons and tons of new responsibilities.
Very tight schedule.
The top management expected us to excel in academic work and research, and not forgetting the industrial collaborations. With the kind of workload listed above, can anyone excel? I wonder. By the way, the workload among colleagues are not equally distributed. Some can just lenggang-lenggang and got promoted. It's a 'chose-love' world.
