Hot Steam Treatment For Sinusitis

This entry is the continuation of the previous entry. Apparently, my sinusitis was slowly building up when I move into the sauna-like car. Yes, Kak Ja was right, this will cause sinus pain. The stuffiness of the restaurant had also contributed to the sinusitis too, as people with sinusitis are very sensitive to smells, and certain smells (smoke, paint, perfume, to name a few) will cause severe sinus congestions, which will lead to pressure build up, and end with severe headache. I shouldn't have ice-cream, but i did.

My sinusitis almost caused me to throw and the headache was unbearable. As soon as I got home, i did the hot steam treatment.

First of all, boil a pot of water and pour them into a huge bowl.

Leave it for a minute. Then take some menthol crystal (available in pharmacy) and add them into the hot water.

Then cover your head with a clean towel (otherwise the smell of the towel will cause more headache).

Then start inhaling the steam. The technique is a bit tricky. For better relief, breath in using one nostril, and breath out through another. Repeat the breathing steps until you feel better.

If necessary, boil more water and repeat the whole process if necessary.

Believe me. After the treatment, the frown of your face will be replaced with beautiful and radiant smile, like this one. hehe
