38th Birthday

There, now everyone know my age. It's not 18 yo nor 28 yo. It's 38. Right Amanda a.k.a Tropical Banana (my niece)?

8.30am
My busy day started off with weekly wet market shopping. Then we had our breakfast at Old Town Kopitiam. Mother-in-law and her neighbour Ah Chim (auntie) joined us.

10.40am
Did some gardening. My wife called a maid to clean up the house, while she's busy preparing all the documents needed for her meeting in HongKong the next day.


12.00pm
Update blog. Did three entries in a row, answered all the tags. Penatnyer..

1.30pm
Had lunch with wife. Wife cooked simple chicken mi-sua soup.

2.00pm
Did some paperwork. Then continue blogging and blog hopping.

4.00pm
Picked up the floral arrangement for one of our church member's Music School opening ceremony and thanks giving service.

The music shool named Clavier Music Studio, situated at Taman Anggerik Perdana, Semenyih. The owner Miss Yvonne is a young, beautiful and talented pianist, with music bachelor degree from UK.


5.30pm
Rushed to Old Town Kopitiam to meet up with Wahaza. I need him to fix my iPhone problem. I downloaded the iPhone 2.2 version and installed it into my phone. To my horror, not only that the Phone can't work properly, I can't even start it properly. Fear of loosing all the data and info, I called Wahaza around 3pm to seek for his help.

Pheww... problem solved within two hours. Wahaza saved my day! Thanks, my friend.

7.15pm
Rushed home, took a quick shower and had a dinner date with my wife. My darling wife brought me to this restaurant in Kajang known for their seafood dishes. We had this...(cuttle fish stir fried with dried chili, served in a smashed yam bowl. VERYYY YUMMYYYY)

... and this...(Crabs stir fried with Marmite sauce, yes, it's Marmite sauce! Supper Dupper Yappa Dupperliciously YUMMY!)

My niece called. They're waiting outside our house. We rushed home.
They bought a homemade carrot cake with cheese cream topping. Thanks sis. Pik Ton! This cake was really yummy!

I got two cakes. My wife bought the other one. Cheesecake with yam. That wide grin was so obvious. They sang birthday song, I made a wish, blew the candles and cut the cake.



11.10pm
Close friends came. They'd just came back from Dr. Stephen Tong's gospel rally at Cheras. Another round of makan-makan.

Nyonya Kitchen

Entry ni dalam BM. So cikgu-cikgu semua, kalo ada yang silap tolong jolokkan dengan galah ye.

Sibuk tu memang ler sibuk, tapi makan tu kena lah makan jugak. So kita gi lunch kat Nyonya Kitchen. Sekali-sekala je kita ke sini.


Burung-burung kakak tua semua sibuk, so kali ni Josh berdating dengan anak dara dan bini orang. Anak dara tu Cik Moshee ler. Bini orang pulak ada Puan Senget yang buyung tapi tetap pakai seksi ketat-ketat, dan juga Puan Lala.



Josh tetap order kegemaran Josh: Nyonya curry laksa. Sedaaaaaaappp... Cik Mosh yang tak suka kari order nasi sambal sotong. Pn Senget order nasi ayam kapitam manakala Pn Lala order nasi goreng nyonya.

Welcome Home Pinky!

Pinky is back!

She set foot on her homeland last Saturday night and was welcomed in a satay 'reception' at Kajang. Thanks to Dr. Syuk for picking her up at KLIA and sent her straight to the satay gathering.

The theme of the gathering was supposed to be pink but many of us didn't have pink shirts. We settled with red instead. It's my first time meeting Dibah, a sweet lady who brought us cupcakes with our names written. She's the one holding the camera.

Everyone was so happy to meet up with Pinky in person, finally. Pinky asyik bercakap nak makan satay banyak-banyak..... tapi kita kira-kira... lorr..... 6 cucuk je. That's her max, but was nothing campared to Bud's 40 cucuk! Beat him if you can.

The night was filled with joy and laughter. Beside the satay, fresh golden kiwi and assorted NZ chocolates freshly flown from Christchurch were also served! Buat susah-susah je Pinky ni.

Abg Bear dapat hadiah apron New Zealand, hadiah dari Pinky ni sesuai sangat dengan Abg Bear. He looked great in this 'outfit' and was even requested to do catwalk. He had became the focus of the cameras and flashes in an instant.

The cupcakes was marvelous. Thank you Dibah! (gambar ni curik dari facebook Dr. Syuk. hehe)

The gathering was the biggest bloggers gathering I'd ever attended. Eleven bloggers all together.
Here're the ladies (L to R): Dibah, Pinky, Pinky's friend (sorry x sempat berkenalan), the Female Dr. Shah (I got confused at first), and Pinky's younger sister DikLa@Suhaila.

The guys: Hazman, Ah Josh, Dr. Syuk, CL (He sat beside Pinky in the flight, and Pinky invited him to join in since he's from Kajang. And the surprising thing is, he's my church member! what a surprise!), Budlee, Dr. Shah, Beruang Madu and Wahdi. Adnautica was not in the pic as he's the photographer.

Pinky was like the santa claus of the night, giving away souvenirs and presents to all who're present. And she got this cute NZ teddy bear for my wife. The teddy bear had become Mr. Blackie's (from NewCastle) best friend. Pinky, my wife love it! Thanks on her behalf.

These were for me: A beautiful plaque and a pack of Teasme peppermint tea. Thank you very much Pinky!

Lok-lok is in Trend

I accompanied my wife and my mother-in-law to my mother-in-law's belated husband's second sister's youngest son's eldest son's birthday party (Any easier way to tell the relationship??) last saturday after the seminar at church.

The party was simple, yet something intrigues me. I saw this strange looking van parked in the front yard of the house. A person was busy doing some kind of preparation. Suddenly the van was lighted. People swarmed to the van in no time.

It was the lok-lok van, offering skewed food to be served after boiling them in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Some call these food 'satay celup'. (Betul ke cikgu-cikgu semua??)


KFC and McD used to be the choice of food in children's party. But the lok-lok seems to begin to take over the limelight slowly. I recalled a few gatherings and house warmings that i'd attended, and there were lok-lok served.

Hm... lok-lok is in trend. People are getting more health concious??

Busy Weekend, Again.

My weekends till the end of the year are all fully booked. Luckily, they're for good cause.

I attended our church's year-end Ministries Review and Planning Seminar yesterday. A full day of brainstorming and discussions on how to improve our ministries. Reaching out to those who are in need is still our major concern. May the need be spiritually, emotionally or physically.





Since I'm bilingual (tri-lingual to be exact; English, Malay and Chinese), I got myself involved in the English speaking Ministries as well as the Mandarin speaking Ministries.

The seminar was quite fruitful, and I'm anticipating more challenges in the future.

This November and December will be extremely busy for me, as my co-workers and i will be in-charge of the year end's series of programs for the Christmas celebration.
