Ipoh Pigi - Meeting the People

My recent visit to Ipoh was to meet up with a few people and to do some supervisions and discussions. Among others, my students who're in their industrial training at various institutions. Fatimah Hospital, Ipoh General Hospital and Veterinary Research Institute to name a few.

And in the evening, I got time to kill. Knowing that Panda had been transferred to this town a few months ago, I gave him a call. Panda recommended the Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung, which offer varieties of seafood but famous with their nasi lemak ayam kampung.

Panda met me at the hotel right after his work. We chat awhile and proceed to this restaurant. Pity him, still in office attire.

Nasi lemak ayam kampung and Tom Yam Poktek. The ayam kampung was crispy and very nice, but can't beat the thick and yummy tom yam. The tom yam was very hot, enough to set me my mouth on fire. hehehee. A simple but satisfying dinner.


On our way to the counter, we saw this tank of belut. Never tried them before and wonder how would they taste. The akak at the counter said it's very nice, especially if fried with kunyit. Anyone?

Then we went for a movie.

Both the dinner and the movie were on Panda. Thanks Panda!
